Please be aware of the following emergency maintenance period:
WHAT: As part of Hostek's continuous improvements and monitoring, we have identified a hardware component within one of our core routers which needs replacement.
SERVICE IMPACT: Marginal: We are expecting a small amount of downtime when we manually force failover to our secondary router. This is expected to last less than 1 second. When the work is complete, we will manually failback to the primary router, this action will cause another less than 1 second downtime (expected).
While the work is carried out, POD2 will be operating under less resiliency than usual. Although we do not anticipate any issues as a result of this, an "at risk" notice is being sent out.
WHY: Hostek continually monitors our hardware and network infrastructure. An issue within a hardware module of our primary router has been identified.
WHEN: This work is scheduled to be carried out at 8pm Central. We anticipate it to take no more than one hour to complete, with expected outages lasting approx 1 second at either end of the window.
